    Saudi Premium Residency Scheme

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, driven by its ambitious Vision 2030 reform plan has introduced the Saudi Premium Residency Scheme. This scheme offers expatriate investors and business owners a pathway to obtain residency visas with privileges comparable to those enjoyed by Saudi nationals.

The Premium Residency Scheme provides holders with the right to live, invest, work, own property, and establish businesses in the Kingdom. Notably, premium residency visa holders enjoy economic privileges and can freely travel to and from Saudi Arabia without requiring sponsorship from a Saudi national.

Two options are available under the Premium Residency Scheme:

    1. Permanent Residency (SP1): This option offers indefinite residency with a fee of 800,000 SR.
    2. 1-year Renewable Residency (SP2): This option is renewable annually, with a more affordable fee of 100,000 SR.

For individuals who find the premium residency visa financially challenging, alternative options include the Saudi Iqama Visa and the Investor Visa. While these visas have their own limitations, they provide opportunities for individuals to reside or invest in Saudi Arabia, respectively.

How to Get a Premium Residency Visa in KSA?

The application process for the premium residency visa is overseen by the Saudi Arabia Procurement Regulatory Commission (SAPRC) in collaboration with the Saudi Council for Economic Affairs and Development.

Step 1: Complete the Visa Application

    Step 2: Submit Documentation

These may include a valid passport, clean criminal record, health report obtained within the past six months (confirming freedom from contagious diseases), proof of valid residency status (if applying from within Saudi Arabia), and evidence of financial solvency.

Step 3: Pay Fees: Based on your chosen visa option (SP1 or SP2), you will need to pay the appropriate fees.

Step 4: Receive Approval: The timeline for approval is not explicitly specified. However, applicants should anticipate that the process may take some time.

Step 5: Visit a Saudi Embassy which is Optional:

If you are applying for the premium residency visa from outside Saudi Arabia, you may need to visit the nearest Saudi embassy or consulate to collect your visa. Ensure that you bring physical copies of the documents submitted with your application.

    Sponsorship and Dependents

Under the premium residency visa, family members who are dependents of the SP1 or SP2 visa holder are covered automatically, eliminating the need for separate applications or additional fees. Additionally, those with SP1 and SP2 visas can sponsor the trip of non-dependent relatives including grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

HLB HAMT offers professional support to streamline the application process and help you avoid common challenges. Our experienced team provides expertise in document preparation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. We work closely with you to facilitate effective communication and simplify the entire process.
