DAFZ is a free zone that exempts VAT and accepts 100% foreign ownership and 100% repatriation of capital and profits without exchange restrictions. It is now home to over 2,000 registered businesses from over 20 sectors and various industries, with over 20,000 professionals benefiting from business-oriented regulation.
DAFZ offers Trading licenses, Service licenses, Industrial licenses and Talent Pass licenses (freelance). Also, they provide a “dual license” with DED (Dubai Department of Economic Development), which allows business owners to operate on the mainland of Dubai without physical office space on the mainland.
The companies and business entities in DAFZ need to prepare the annual financial statements and get them audited by an approved auditor in Dubai. The audited financial statements are required to be filed with the Freezone authority within 90 days after the end of the financial year. Generally, most companies follow the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) framework for the preparation of the financial statements.
The DAFZ accepts the audited financial statements only if the audit is carried out by an approved auditor listed by DAFZ authorities. HLB HAMT is a registered audit firm in Dubai and an approved auditor by Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA). HLB HAMT supports businesses in DAFZ by preparing audit reports that comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and advising on various compliance requirements associated with DAFZ and the Mainland of Dubai.
Since the inception of HLB HAMT, we have been working as a trusted partner with our clients and DAFZ.
